Among the services that the Bed & Breakfast La Paggeria offers its guests and non-guests there is also the possibility of actively participating in the preparation of typical Tuscan dishes.
Guests will be totally involved because they will start with the choice of the menu to prepare, the lessons take place in the morning at 10.30.
During the morning, 5 courses will be prepared: Appetizer, fresh pasta, seasoning sauces, second course dessert, all interspersed with a short break to taste our wines and our oil.
At the end, there will be a tasting of the foods prepared with lunch served on the panoramic terraces accompanied by Tuscan wines.
The cooking class is for groups of 2-8 people.
The course lasts about 4.5 hours.
If you have little time to dedicate to this experience, we offer another solution.
The course starts around 5 pm and consists of 3 courses: Testing of our oil: Pasta made in house, fresh tomato sauce or zucchini pesto.
Second course that is normally accompanied by fresh seasonal fruit (Kiwi, strawberries, melon).
Participants will be guided in the preparation of the dishes and the tasting of the prepared foods is served at sunset on the panoramic terraces of the Paggeria accompanied by Tuscan wines.

Discover the magic of truffle hunting in the beautiful woods surrounding La Paggeria! We offer our guests an authentic and fascinating experience: a guided walk with a professional truffle hunter and his loyal dog in search of the precious truffles that grow naturally in this area.
The excursion lasts approximately 1.5 hours and can be combined with our cooking class, or booked as a stand-alone activity.
All the truffles you find will belong to you: you can use them during the cooking class or take them home to enjoy in the following days (when properly stored, they stay fresh for over 10 days).

If you are staying in Florence you can reach us in just 20 minutes, leaving from Piazza Libertà with the bus “25A Pratolino”, the arrival stop is “Bolognese di Basciano”, from this stop you will reach the Paggeria on foot in a few minutes. The cost of the ticket is Euro 1.70 per person, the return bus is available until 23.00 otherwise taxi service with a cost of around Euro 35.00.
Note:
Participation in cooking classes for guests who are not staying have the possibility to cancel 36 hours before arrival.
In case of no show the entire agreed amount will be charged.
