Tour to Pisa and Lucca
A day to explore the two most beautiful of Tuscan cities.
Depart from La Paggeria B&B headed toward Pisa, where the splendid Piazza dei Miracoli and Leaning Tower will impress with their presense. While we are in Pisa, a must is a photo in front of the Leaning Tower. Discover the history of Piazza dei Miracoli, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the beautiful architecture that enrich the square, includeding the Cathedral, Baptistery and Camposanto. The interior of the cathedral is in the stupendous Romanesque Pisan architecture.
Then we head to Lucca, a small outdoor sitting room for the real Tuscany. The historical center is enclosed in walls that run over 4 kilometers, along which you can walk or bike and enjoy its green garden. More than follow a precise itinerary, Lucca is best explored by getting lost in its winding streets which will soon become familiar. You will visit the Market Square, the basilica of San Frediano and the Duomo di San Martino.
The itinerary includes:
- Departure directly from the B&B after breakfast in car with driver
- Visit of Lucca (with the possibility of renting a bike and seeing the city along the walls on bike) (unguided)
- Visit of Pisa (unguided)
- Return to La Paggeria
